The participants are to choose one close friend or family member or significant other and spend one waking day ceasing all communication with said person. It must be someone who would expect to be maintaining contact with you. You must then report back to me at pyan1201@stcloudstate.edu with a statement on the results. Was it difficult to do; did it cause: frustration, misunderstandings, anger, tension, mental anguish, nice alone time, a call for the cops to come check on your possibly lifeless corpse, life shattering/irreparable damage to the relationship, or did you fail to last the day?
Message what you feel comfortable with, success or not.
Anything that is pertinent, really.

I did the experiment, but it was easy for me because I don't talk to my friends on a daily basis. I'm kind of an introvert.
Allison Batchelder
I did fairly well with this experiment. I chose to not talk to my best friend Andrea for a full day which was difficult. We tend to call each other every free chance we get because she lives in St. Paul. I knew she was getting annoyed that I wasn't answering after ignoring the second phone call. We had a good laugh when I called her the next day to tell her that this was an assignment given to me for class.
Everyone Else
It seems that the rest of the class chose me as the person to not communicate with over an extended period. I would say it is working out pretty well and everybody is sticking too it.
