For the "eggs" I used plaster to cast a handful of rocks. After they were dried out I then took and painted the objects to resemble mythical creature eggs. They are wrapped up inside of a sweater in order to look as though they were found out in the wild and are being kept warm by a passerby who happened to find them.
The doll parts were cast in white and brown wax separately and then fused together by melting the wax and a needle attached to thread. The dolls are surrounded by parts suggesting rejected pieces of their finished body. They are together in an attempt to create one full being although they will never be a complete body.
For the molds I used plaster and wax to make both of them. The both turned out as happy accidents. The was seemed like paper Mache very fragile and weak. The wax mold didn't fill up all the way and the wax settled to the bottom making it more transparent as you went up the bottle.
Since I am a huge patriot and love my country, I decided to have everyone in class draw for 15 minutes on the reasons why they love this country. Since everyone in the US loves something about this country why not put that on paper.
