LTLYM- "And then," Stories_Marcos_Llanas

The assignment was to make a small exercise for the class, as a child we took a lot of road trips and to keep busy we would play games, this was one of my favorite games to play. The rules are to start or continue a story and you must always end a sentence by saying, "and then.... our in class exercise we read one of the stories and continued it. Then the second we just wrote with out knowing any of the previous part of the story. The most interesting stories are the ones that make sense, or the funniest ones are those who make little to no sense. my favorite part is seeing the differences in handwriting. These are photos of the stories.

Fall is coming-Jake

Fall has come quick this year, so I had everyone take a picture of what they find to be the coming of fall.

LTLYM - College Fridge

For this LTLYM assignment, I want everyone to take a picture of the inside of their fridge, or freezer. The main point of this is about the college student's diet. Given your own reign over your food choices what will you purchase? Healthy food? Junk food? Will your diet consist of only alcohol to get your through the school year? Do you have money enough to fill your fridge, or not? Everyone's fridge is bound to be different and interesting. Let's see what the college life is about.

For this assignment, I used chicken wire. I needed something stiff to create the crinkled look I was going for. I wanted to create something simplistic and minimal, yet interesting because that is what I got from Tuttle's work.

Alexandra Rolph - Richard Tuttle Project

To create my sculpture I used wire, cardboard and construction paper. First I cut out a rectangle of cardboard and ripped it jaggedly down the middle. Then I used wire and poked it through the cardboard to kind of put the cardboard pieces back together in a irregular way. Lastly I used crumbled up construction paper and placed them in between the wire.

3 materials: shower curtain, tempera paint, and wire were used to create a piece for a group collaboration. The top image shows the shower curtain being displayed vertically on the wall. Image 2 reflects how the paint on the shower curtain adhered to the wall, and the bottom image reflects the shower curtain hanging from the ceiling, capturing the what the viewer would see looking up.
